2018-2019 YOUTH TRAINING PROVIDER CONTRACTS
The following program(s) have received approval for funding to provide services starting July 1, 2018 thru June 30, 2019.
The Dannon Project
The WIOA Youth Program at The Dannon Project (TDP) offers Short-term skills/certification, work experience, job readiness/employability program for WIOA/CAPTE eligible youth ages 17-24. Youth will engage in age-appropriate learning including life skills, character development, tutoring, study skills training, paid/unpaid work experience, occupational skills training and certification, leadership development, supportive services, follow-up, comprehensive guidance and counseling, adult mentoring, and entrepreneurial training. Credentials to be earned include 1) Certified Network Cabling Specialist; 2) Certified Nursing Assistant; and, 3) Certified Patient Care Technicians. This program also includes work experience wages with local employers. All students will have access to work experience opportunities will be provided based upon a stepped up/graduated approach of $8.00 (Phase II); $9.00 Phase III; work experience pay will be processed on a bi-weekly basis and paid through ADP. TDP collaborates with local hospitals, nursing homes, doctor offices and construction companies for work experience opportunities. TDP assists each participant in gaining employment after earning certification.

United Ability
The WIOA Youth Program for persons with disabilities at United Ability offers a work-based learning program for twelve (12) youth, 18-24, Vocational Rehabilitation affiliated clients with significant disabilities who have a desire for competitive integrated employment. This program will be based at a worksite that will offer a variety of jobs for which the youth may be trained. Total workplace immersion will be paired with an instruct5ional period so the participants may enhance their soft skills to increase their employability. Participants will be assisted in gaining full or part-time employment during the program or at the end.
