What is CAPTE?
Central Alabama Partnership for Training and Employment (CAPTE) is simply what the name says -- a partnership of several organizations all focused on providing employment assistance, training assistance, and job opportunities for those that need help in the six-county Central Alabama region: Blount, Chilton, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Walker Counties.CAPTE focuses on helping the following job seekers of all ages, but primarily those who fall in the following categories:
* Adults - (ages 18 and older) who need additional training to become gainfully employed or obtain better paying jobs.
* Youth - (ages 17-24) who may have dropped out of school and need help getting started in a career or secure employment paying a living wage.
* Dislocated workers - (laid off or downsized workers) that need additional skills to qualify for other jobs. CAPTE works with those individuals to provide that additional training.
